Flew up to Chicago to attend the 2007 Greenbuild Conference. Even though more than 50,000 people showed up, it was held in just a portion of Chicago’s convention center, McCormick Place. It was hosting something like 3 other major conventions. The convention was pretty informative, although it was heavier on motivation than real content.

While in the city, we did a fair share of touristy stuff, riding the CTA around to a number of places. We checked out Grant Park and the Pritzker Pavillion, saw a sunset over the city from the Hancock Observation Deck, went to IIT and the Unity Temple, among others. It was a good trip overall and a good experience of how living in a real urban place could work. [view-the-gallery galleryaddress=”Greenbuild07″]
