Charlotte’s newest architectural jewel, the 85% completed NASCAR Hall of Fame, designed by Pei Cobb Freed & Partners. It is a modern interpretation of the sport in building form and symbolized by a metal ring that twists and turns as it encircles the structure. Like any piece of High Architecture these days, it completely misses the point from an urban standpoint with large blank street walls on 3 out of the 4 sides.
