Craig and I took a little trip to Canada recently. His goal was to do some research for his masters thesis along with a little sight-seeing, so I went along for the ride. We spent two days in Toronto, an afternoon in Ottawa, and a day and a half in Montreal.

All in all, it was a good trip.  Toronto is just like a southern USA city in that it has a good deal of new development that doesn’t create a good urban environment.  Parts of Montreal are very urban and have a ton of character. Also, it can be inconvenient at best to get into Canada (get ready for 20 questions) and March isn’t a good month to visit – everything was brown, dirty and muddy from the recent snow melt.
